10 DAYS OF PRAYER: The Fall of Babylon and Prayer
“After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, ‘Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!’”

The Second Angel’s Message
The three angels’ messages of Revelation 14 are specifically designed to prepare a people for the coming of Jesus. They reveal the plans of God and unmask the plans of the devil. The second angel’s message gives this solemn warning: “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication” (Revelation 14:8). Just as ancient Babylon warred against God in rebellion against His commands, spiritual Babylon stands in rebellion against God. She passes around her “wine cup” of false doctrines to deceive millions. Ellen White describes Babylon this way: “The great sin charged against Babylon is that she ‘made all
